Go to Maui. Stay at the Hyatt there. Plenty to do for the family. It’s very nice and relaxing as well.

There are lots of places to rent for under $1,000 per week. You should go for something with a kitchen so as to cut down on eat out costs.:

Here is one that looked pretty nice ( I know it says one bedrrom, but they must have larger accomodations for a little more):
KIAHUNA PLANTATION RESORT 7-Nights Kauai, Kiahuna Plantation Vacations
    Vacation Package Rating: Moderate
    Vacation Prices Start At: $626.00
    Nights: 5
    Vacation Package Inclusions:
    5-nights One Bedroom Gardenview Accomodations

    Cuba is great and safe.
The best beaches ever. And very inexpensive.
But US citizens can not enter.

Depends where you’re flying from and how adventurous your family is (and what languages you can get by in). I like the Dominican Republic because of the rich culture (I know, everywhere has a rich culture). They also have cheap resorts that have specials from the East Coast of the USA. Try the vacation specials on travelzoo.com

If your thinking Hawaii check pleasent hollidays. My fiance and I got 5 nights 6 days in a 4 star hotel right on Waikiki beach for 1600. This is INCLUDING air from San Francisco AND a car for the whole time (which we didn’t need in the end because transportation was provided on ALL of our activities). We got this durring peak season (end of june beginning of july). March is early, but the weather is still amazing (the temperature never changes there!)

If you can afford it go to paradise island in Bahamas and stay at Atlantis. It is so great especially for families. You don’t have to go anywhere else the resort is so beautiful and fun for the whole family. When I went last year there were so many families with kids there. It is great. There is alot for kids to do. It has one of the largest Marine habitat in the world, so there is alot for the kids to look at. They have turtle feeding time and sting ray feeding time. They also have water slides and a great pool. It is the best way to go with a family. If you are staying at Atlantis all this is free you don’t have to pay extra.

The most obvious would be Disneyworld or Disneyland, considering where you live exactly. EVERY child wants to go to Disney. I do hear it’s overpriced, but when you think about it; what vacation spot isn’t? You do not have to go through a travel agent to get hotels, airline tickets, rental cars, etc. All you have to do is go to Yahoo travel, Travelocity, Expedia, etc. You can type in your destination and it will be self-explanatory from there. Also, they sometimes offer vacation packages to help save money if you combine hotel/airline. We’ve always used online services without a travel agent, and things have always run smoothly. Have fun with your family, whatever you choose to do!

Take them to Disney world, they’re children aren’t they…or just ask them where they would like to go

Are you American? If so, I pity you, because Cuba is the best place to go. It’s beautiful, and it is inexpensive – if you book at the last minute, you can get an all inclusive deal, including airfare, for $500 or $600.

Got something to say?
