keep checking and do a lot of research. My daughter is taking her 2 nephews (my grandsons) to Honolulu over Thannksgiving this year. The 3 flights were free because of frequent flier miles and she found an inexpensive hotel 2 blocks from Waikiki Beach. She has a good deal on a rental car, but she keeps checking for better deals (she changed our reservation for a car in Reno until we finally got it down to $63 for 4 days!!!). Check the internet sites for the attractions you want to go to as sometimes they will have printable discount coupons. It takes her lots of time (which is most of the fun for her!) but we go on some fantastic trips for next to nothing because of her research! Have fun!

Due to rising gas prices it costs over a hundred dollars to fly inter island. Also two airlines went bankrupt within a month. So a good cheap deal will be difficult to find.

Because of the high price of jet fuel you are going to have a tough time finding discounted airline tickets. However, you can save by staying at a more economical hotel. In Oahu I recommend The Queen Kapiolani Hotel. For the location the prices can’t be beat.
The best part about this hotel is that it is one block from the beach, and there are rooms where you have an ocean view out one window and a view of Diamond Head out the other. It’s across the street from the Honolulu Zoo, so you wake in the morning to the sounds of elephants. It’s seen better days, but I’ve stayed in much worse.
We’ve stayed there the last couple of times we’ve been to Honolulu.
You can also find a load of economical places to eat in the International Market in Waikiki. This could make your trip more affordable.

Check this site They have some nice codes for Travelocity, Orbitz etc. I would also recommend checking last minute deals on Travelocity..that is how I booked our honeymoon vacation:)

We live in the midwest and found out it was cheaper to get a southwest airlines “ding” flight to a city on the westcoast and then find a flight from there to Hawaii on US Air or Hawaiian Airlines. It saved us around 300-400 dollars and skipped all the long flight times that those travel sites tried to plan with layovers and multiple connections.

Got something to say?
