I’m 27 and wanting to take my 16 year old sister on a vacation to one of the two parks. Which one has more to see/do? Which has the most rides and more to offer people our age?

Also, if we bought a Disney World vacation package are there discounts for Universal tickets?

We’re planning on going in late June, spending at least 3 days in parks.

I would say Disney World would be way more worth it. The park is very big and there is a lot to do.

Disneyland is more for younger kids.
I thought it was KIND OF boring.
    but i still had fun.
But it depends what she likes.

There’s more to do at the 4 Disney parks - the parks are cleaner - the food is better - they have parades & fireworks - great shows & great rides. They also have 2 water parks and Downtown Disney.

    WDW packages don’t include Universal.

With only 3 days, you won’t have time to hit WDW & Universal

    Have fun!

universial studios, because it is alot more affordable i have been 2 both parks. Universal studios rides are alot cooler and it has a duddley doorides rippsaw falls which has the highest drop of a water ride(dont worry it is not scary)there are 3 hotels there that you can stay at there names are royal pacific resort(which is more affordable than it sounds)the hardrock cafe hotel and the other one i dont know its name but they all have taxi service to the park cause there right next to the park(SERVICES:Water taxi,Bicycle taxi, and a bus taxi)this is free. if u stay at these hotels ur room pases act as a fast pass in the park and u dont have to wait in line as long. The royal pacific resort has a pool that is 20,000 square ft and looks like a beach,it also has a gameroom and weightroom which is free.

it also has really cool shows and a walk through ride

They also have a city walk which has a movie theatre and lots of malls it also has live concerts go to the contacts to find directions rides and other cool things =P

I would think Disney’s going to be more expensive, however, there’s much more extras to do there that US/IOA doesn’t have. The shows, the themed restaurants and eateries will memory makers for sure.

However, US/IOA is more action packed and will be most cost effective.

So, even though I’m a Disney girl heart and soul, in your case I would suggest US/IOA.

You can check out both WDW and US/IOA web sites to get a better idea of what they each have to offer.

    Hope this helps.

okay, first, Universal and Disney are not affiliated in any way. as a matter of fact, they are each others competition. so one does not offer discount for the other.

second. universal studios and its sister park Islando of adventure can each be seen in one day. you could use the third day to catch up and redo rides you liked or go on some that you missed. the advantage is that this option, you will be able to see everything (as along as you get there when the park opens, spend more time going on rides that shopping, etc) it has probably the most thrill rides out of all the parks. although disney does have four roller coaster, only two i would consider extreme.

Disney is much larger, has four theme parks, two water parks, etc. you will NOT be able to see everything but there are things that you can probably skip and be okay with. also its a family park. so there are a lot of kid rides or most rides are kid friendly. if you like everything disney, then you will like it. if you don’t, then it may not be for you.

In the end, not knowing your tastes it difficult to make a suggestion but an educated guess would be that Universal might be a better option for you since it will fit your schedule better.

It really depends on your preference of what you want to see and experience. I would recommend looking at websites for all the parks first, this will give you an overall idea of each park and what sort of rides and experiences they have to offer.

Like others have said, Disney World is HUGE and you will need to spend multiple days there to see everything…which will be VERY EXPENSIVE. Then again, don’t feel that you have to visit each of the four parks or the two water parks.

Personally, I would recommend Universal. They have two really great parks. Universal Studios has the movie-themed rides, and Islands of Adventure is an incredibly well themed Universal-flavored Disneyland. I’m a huge Disney fan, but I would honestly choose Islands of Adventure over some of the Disney parks. It has a great selection of rides and themes.

PLUS - Universal has THIS offer: For $89 you get unlimited access to both Universal and Islands of Adventure (as well as CityWalk) for up to 7 consecutive days. The ticket looks like it’s only a 2 day ticket, but if you read the details it says you can actually use it for 7 consecutive days. [NOTE: You can only purchase this ticket ONLINE. Link is below in the sources.]

Last time I went to Florida my family got a ticket that let us do 5 days at Universal/IOA and then our family split up to hit a Disney park of our preference on the 6th day. Five days at Universal was absolutely great because we didn’t feel rushed to make sure we saw everything, and because of that we were able to take it a bit slower during the peak hours of the day. It also gave us the freedom to hit our favorite rides over and over.

So, in terms of a better deal, I would recommend scoring that 2day (+5 extra days) ticket from Universal online. [A stay that long at Disney World would set you back $220] After you rock the Universal Resort, then spend one day at the Magic Kingdom (because it’s awesome and a classic).

    Hope that helps!

I would say Disnyworld but the park is big and you need a lot of time and money for it.

i would do universal. i think you two would have a better time. not so many little ones running amuck. they have more coasters and more things for people your age. go to universal.com for deals and info. they also have a meal deal package that works out great and alot cheaper. also if you do universal stay at one of their resort hotels. they are a bit pricey but is so worth it. you dont have to drive anywhere and you room key is and express pass, no waiting in long lines. have a great trip whatever you decide.

Well i think Universal Studio’s was very fun. There’s so many rides there and so much fun. If your the kind of person that doesn’t like rollercoasters then i consider Disney World. It’s very fun there too. Each one has it’s own way so there both good.

    well.
    i like universal better.
if your a person who likes rides and roller coasters
    go to universal.
you can go on hulk, dueling dragons, spider man, rip saw falls, popeye, jarassic park, doctor doom, back to the future, mummy, and alot more.
its also more for older people.
disney is more for kids.and the rides are boring
i think you would have a better time at universal.
    hope this helped. (:
