All the travel agents seem to have pretty much the same deal. There has to be a bargain somewhere right? We want to go to either Cabo or cozumel.

These great travel deals are for travel professionals and are called FAM trips. These perks are designed to “familiarize” professionals with properties that they promote to their clients. It’s much easier to promote something that you’ve visited. FAM trips are never guaranteed and usually can’t be booked sooner than 30 days before the visit. This is one of the many reasons why my wife and I started our own online travel business.

As long as you are not picky about specific resorts or cities that you would like to visit, then book your trip last minute. All of the sites and travel agents will have ‘last minute’ deals, also known as sell offs. Companies have a certain amount of packages to sell. If they aren’t sold, then they lower the price close to the date in an attempt to sell the remaining spots and make SOME money off of them rather than those rooms sitting empty.
