Need a summer vacation destination?

JEM asked:
All right here’s the scoop. My friend wants to go on a family vacation (2 pre-teen boys and husband). She has a budget of about $1,500 (transportation and hotel) and wants to be around water but she’s not into the whole Disneyland and walking around doing the touristy thing.
Any suggestions? She lives in OKC….and doesn’t mind going overseas as long as it’s within the budget.
Sorry about that Ashley…during summer break. She’s a teacher so I’m guessing June-Late August.

Try Mexico. Acapulco should be good. Cancun would probably put her out of budget but try it anyways. Also Puerto Vallarta. Florida is cheap too
When are they wanting to leave? If you check on American Airlines or Southwest Airlines, they will have Special Offers if you book before a certain time. I highly recommend Southwest over any airline, because they are the friendliest and I have also found them the cheapest!
As for destinations, look into California and Florida. There is so much to do in Kissimmee, it isnt even funny! It is beautiful there! Also, San Diego would be good for the younger ones also. Again, since it is on a budget, I would look into the airlines websites and see the special offers they have going on and see how much money you will have left over for hotel and spending….
Good Luck!
***Hey, no prob! Also, check out, they also have some really good packages to check out and they say the have the lowest rates, so far, from what I’ve reviewed, they do!***
Once you determine your destination, try booking with they have some awesome packages to help accommodate your budget!
